Sorry everyone but I need to vent!
Competition started Saturday... I went and worked out. When leave I felt a twinge in my foot. Like maybe I stepped wrong? No clue.
Ignoring the pain all week...
Getting worse....
Keep ignoring...
This morning Woah! Put the brakes on I'm done!
I called Amanda our babysitter and went to prompt care.
I am SO FRUSTRATED with the nurse practitioner! I seriously had to hold back tears while she was in the office. She just wouldn't listen to me! All she cared about was- here's your pain meds, I'm off to the next drug seeking patient.
I seriously had to stop her from leaving twice so she would listen to me!!
My diagnosis? Sprained ankle, plantar faciitis, and tendonitis. Really dude?!? REALLY?!?! And taking an x-ray would be a waste of time so I don't need that according to her.
First it was because I am working out in crappy run down shoes. You know, she once went on a hike and one shoe had no support because she was wearing a backpack (are you lost yet? Me too...) Well she couldn't climb the stairs when she got home because her ankle hurt too much. Oh and somehow she was in a tight skirt so it was a difficult feat.
OK that's nice...Back to me (not her first nor last story).
I just bought the best shoes I have ever had with tons of support. I LOVE Sauconeys!
My shoes aren't the problem and my ankle doesn't hurt. Once again, its my foot.
Well, you said you just started a weight loss competition so I think your body is tired and its not use to working out so much so your foot just needs a break.
I'm sorry, didn't we JUST talk about how I lost 65 pounds and this is motivation to keep going? I know what the inside walls of a gym looks like. I work out at LEAST an hour every weekday. Its not because my foot isn't use to working out.
Well, You said you like swimming. Do you kick off the wall hard?
Ever since the pain started I stopped doing flip turns. And I wasn't swimming for at least a week before the pain started.
So how about I get an ace bandage...
She never came back!!!
After 15 minutes the nurse walks in- who had such a thick accent I could barely understand her. She wraps it and says ok have a good day.
WAIT- is swimming ok or not?! What do I do about my foot?! Should I stop working out? What other exercises should I do if I need to give my foot a rest?
The nurse says- Well, she's in another room. Do you want to wait for her to come out? Uh YES please! I wait another 15 minutes till she comes out. She sent the nurse back in. Uh, keep your foot up and rest three days and you'll be fine. THE END. Never saw the nurse practitioner again.
Is anybody else as frustrated as I am?!? I didn't want to go to my normal doctor because I didn't want to pay my copay then be told to go to radiology building for an x ray if needed. Pay another possible co pay... I have blue cross with medi-cal secondary. With prompt care I had no co pays. Huge freakin waste of time. I totally regret not going to the Dr in the first place. I think I am going to call and make an appointment with my dr to get some real answers.

Weigh in!
Every week I weigh in on my Wii Fit scale. For my Biggest Loser competition it needed a picture of my toesies on a scale so I borrowed my friends.
Her scale said I weighed 200.8. Wii fit says I weigh 198.
Personally I am going to use the 198 for how I am doing.
For the competition I used 200.8 and will use the same scale for my last results.
Here are my starting pictures.


I am taking my weight loss HARD CORE this week! Weighed in this morning and I already lost 1 pound and its only Tuesday morning.
That got me pumped up this morning!! Helloooo 197!
I have burned over 1,200 calories both yesterday and today!
Did you know swimming is like 900 calories an hour?
LOOOOOVE swimming!
Sad part of this week? I hurt my foot Saturday or Sunday morning. No clue what I did! And the pain comes and goes. Sometimes I can barely stand on it other times I feel completely fine. I wrapped it and it felt worse. Thinking of seeing the doctor if it last a little longer... Mainly because I am afraid of injuring worse because I am working out so hard. Its in the lower arch near the top of the heel and through the front of my ankle. Pain go away! I want to run so bad!!
I can use a spin bike even out of the saddle and I am doing a ton of swimming... Time will tell!

Biggest Loser!!
Ok so I said last week that I didn't care if I gained weight as long as I tracked everyday? Weeelllllll... I lied.... I didn't track everyday.
This week my friend invited me into a group that is a Biggest Loser Contest...Truth is- I LOVE Biggest Loser! The summer before I met Adam I competed in a Biggest Loser at the gym and finished in 2nd place. The winner was male. Want to know the exciting part of the current Biggest Loser I'm doing? All women! Got this one in the BAG!
The competition starts tomorrow on Saturday and I am super duper excited!! This will DEFINITELY break my plateau!
A bunch of friends of friends of friends are getting together and put $25 in the pot. The end total hasn't been figured out yet but there are 70 people and we know that first place gets 70% and 2nd is 20% and 3rd gets 10%.
I would LOVE to take the kids to Disneyland but unfortunately we can't afford it. This is my biggest motivation. I want to win to give my kids this trip!
Oh anywho! I am totally excited and can't wait to get working out!
One of the other reasons I am posting this blog is because I wanted to share a recipe that someone on the group shared.
Easy Ice Cream
I said I was addicted to Ice Cream...oh and chocolate as the title of the blog says. Everything in moderation right?
Well this ice cream is made entirely of bananas! SO going to try this!!
I will post tomorrow...or the next few days depending on how busy I am... with starting weights and measurements for the competition.
